Tasting notes

Intense ruby red with garnet nuances. The nose is intense and refined, with red forest berries, Mediterranean spices and aromatic herbs. The palate is warm and rounded, with good structure, ripe tannins and excellent balance, closing on a long finish of fruit and spice.

About this wine

Senes is the Riserva that Argiolas dedicates to Cannonau, the emblematic red grape of Sardinia. The vineyards lie on calcareous clay soils in the hills of the south of the island, where strong sunshine and sea breezes give fruit of real concentration.

Maceration lasts 12 to 15 days at 25-28 °C, malolactic fermentation takes place in glass-lined concrete tanks and the wine then completes its maturation in bottle before release as a Riserva.

Deep ruby with garnet tints, it shows red forest fruit, Mediterranean herbs and spice on the nose, and a warm, rounded, well-structured palate with excellent balance, combining the generosity of Cannonau with elegance.
