Tasting notes

Dark purple colour. Pronounced balsamic notes on the nose over ripe dark fruit. The palate is full and supple, with a fresh finish and a long aftertaste. Built to keep evolving for more than 20 years.

About this wine

Château La Lagune lies in Ludon-Médoc, in the southern Haut-Médoc, and was classified as a Third Growth in 1855. Its light gravel terroir, rich in quartz, calcite and agates, lends the wines finesse and balance, and today the vineyard is certified organic.

The 2016 blends 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot and is aged in French oak barrels, half of them renewed every year. It is a full yet supple Médoc with marked balsamic notes, fine freshness and an ageing potential of more than 20 years.
