Tasting notes

Deep, dark garnet. The nose shows ripe blackcurrant, black cherry and plum with cedar, graphite, tobacco and a touch of truffle. The palate is concentrated and powerful, with dense, ripe tannins, great freshness and a very long finish that still has many years ahead.

About this wine

Château Latour is one of the legendary estates of Pauillac and one of the first growths of the historic 1855 Bordeaux classification. Its vineyards lie on the Left Bank close to the Gironde estuary, around the old tower that gives the estate its name.

The grand vin is a blend led by Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, famous for its powerful structure and exceptional ability to age for decades.

2005 is one of the great Bordeaux vintages of the century, a warm, dry year that gave concentrated, balanced wines; this bottle is a choice for collectors and lovers of the great Médoc.
