Tasting notes

Deep garnet. The nose shows blackcurrant, black cherry and cedar with graphite, tobacco and a touch of liquorice. The palate is powerful and dense, with firm, ripe tannins, fresh acidity and a long, structured finish that still promises years of ageing.

About this wine

Château Latour is one of the legendary estates of Pauillac and one of the first growths of the historic 1855 Bordeaux classification. Its vineyards lie on the Left Bank close to the Gironde estuary, around the old tower that gives the estate its name.

The grand vin is a blend led by Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, famous for its powerful structure and exceptional ability to age for decades.

The 2006 is a classic, firmly built vintage that is now opening up, a bottle for collectors and lovers of the great wines of the Médoc.
