Tasting notes

Ruby with violet reflections. The nose offers fresh red fruit, spice and floral notes. The palate is deep, with soft tannins and fine acidity, leading to a long, precise finish.

About this wine

Clos de Tart is the largest of the five Grand Cru monopoles in Burgundy, with a history going back to 1141. La Forge de Tart is the estate's second wine, made mainly from its younger vines, around 20 years old.

It is produced with the same precision as the Grand Cru, from 100% Pinot Noir, and ages for 18 months in oak barrels, half of them new. The difference is that it reaches maturity sooner, offering an earlier window into the style of this legendary Morey-Saint-Denis address.

The 2018 combines generosity and finesse, a Premier Cru that already drinks well and will keep improving for several years.
