Tasting notes

Greenish to pale yellow. A delicate, elegant mineral nose with notes of peach, apricot and quince. The palate is fresh and fine, with juicy spice and a lively body leading to a long, stony finish. Serve chilled but not ice-cold, so the aromas and the texture can fully open in the glass.

About this wine

Cantina Valle Isarco (Eisacktaler Kellerei) is a winery based in Klausen, in the Eisack Valley of South Tyrol, one of the northernmost wine areas of Italy.

The Aristos line gathers its wines from the most strictly selected grapes, harvested entirely by hand at sharply reduced yields. This Riesling comes from vineyards at 520-650 metres on poor, shallow soils of weathered quartz phyllite, which give it a clear minerality. It rests for 10 months on the fine lees, partly in stainless steel and partly in large wooden casks.
