Tasting notes

Greenish to straw yellow. An intense aroma with light notes of nutmeg and elderflower. The palate is fresh and fruity, with a clear varietal character, delicate aromatics and pleasant fullness. Serve chilled but not ice-cold, so the aromas and the texture can fully open in the glass.

About this wine

Cantina Valle Isarco (Eisacktaler Kellerei) is a winery based in Klausen, in the Eisack Valley of South Tyrol, one of the northernmost wine areas of Italy.

Its classic Müller Thurgau grows mainly on the higher, warm terraced slopes at 550-970 metres, on mineral, stony soils of diorite and quartz phyllite. The variety is a cross of Riesling and Madeleine Royale created in the late 19th century in Geisenheim by Professor Hermann Müller, a native of the Swiss canton of Thurgau.
