Tasting notes

Greenish to pale yellow. An intense, grassy and aromatic nose recalling nettle and gooseberry. The palate shows refreshing fruity acidity, an energetic character and a full body with a long, zesty finish. Serve chilled but not ice-cold, so the aromas and the texture can fully open in the glass.

About this wine

Cantina Valle Isarco (Eisacktaler Kellerei) is a winery based in Klausen, in the Eisack Valley of South Tyrol, one of the northernmost wine areas of Italy.

In the Aristos line it presents wines from carefully selected vineyards, harvested entirely by hand. The grapes for this Sauvignon come from the southern part of the valley around the village of Atzwang, from vineyards at 600-720 metres on warm, deep soils of weathered porphyry. It rests for 10 months on the fine lees, partly in steel and partly in large wooden casks.
