Tasting notes

About this wine

Cuvée Especial is the easy-drinking red of Bodegas Heredad de Baroja, the family winery founded in 1964 in the heart of Rioja Alavesa, with vineyards at around 600 metres.

It is made from 100% Tempranillo and aged 8 months in French and American oak before finishing its ageing in bottle. Violet red, with wild berries and toasty oak, it is balanced and fresh with sweet tannins.

A versatile everyday Rioja. Serve at 15–17 °C with tapas, pizza or pasta.
