Tasting notes

A 2020 red from Kreuzberg in the Ahr Valley, the cool German region best known for elegant Pinot Noir. The bottle survived the July 2021 flood: the label carries its marks, but the wine inside is preserved with no change in quality.

About this wine

Jraaduss Red 2020 comes from Kreuzberg, an iconic winery in Germany's Ahr Valley, famous for its Pinot Noir (Spätburgunder).

In July 2021 a catastrophic flood hit the Ahr and destroyed most of the valley's buildings. VIDA Wines & Spirits supported Kreuzberg by buying wines from the flooded cellar to help restore the estate. The labels of these bottles are damaged to varying degrees, but the wine inside is preserved, with no change in its quality.

A bottle with a story, and a way to support a winery that is rebuilding. Serve at 15–17 °C.
