Tasting notes

Deep ruby red. The nose offers cherry and blackberry with floral notes and a hint of spice. The palate combines fresh acidity with firm, dense tannins, ripe dark fruit and good depth, finishing long and savoury.

About this wine

Tenuta di Trinoro lies in the Val d'Orcia, in southern Tuscany, where high-altitude vineyards give low yields and are farmed biodynamically. "Le Cupole" has been made since 1995 and follows the same philosophy as the estate's flagship wine.

It is a blend of Bordeaux varieties – Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot – whose proportions change each year according to the character of the vintage.

Fermentation lasts 10–15 days in steel, after which the wine matures in concrete vats and barriques that are one to three years old, giving a fresh, structured Tuscan red.
