Tasting notes

Medium-deep ruby red. Ripe dark fruit, cherry and plum with ginger, aniseed and a light touch of oak. The palate is dry and medium- to full-bodied, with a rounded texture, elegant tannins and a long, spicy finish.

About this wine

Produttori di Manduria is a cooperative in Manduria, Puglia, officially founded in 1932. It brings together around 400 growers, known as the "masters of Primitivo", with nearly 900 hectares of vineyards, most of them trained as traditional alberello bush vines.

Lirica is one of the cooperative's core wines: 100% Primitivo, hand-picked in the first ten days of September and fermented below 25 °C, then aged for at least six months before release.

Round, ripe and elegantly spicy, it is a textbook Primitivo di Manduria and an excellent companion for hearty Mediterranean cooking.
