Tasting notes

Bright ruby with violet hints. Spicy nose of red forest berries. The palate is fresh and easy-drinking, with fine tannins and a finish of black pepper and blackcurrant. Hints of cherry, violet and a light herbal touch make it vibrant and easy to enjoy slightly chilled.

About this wine

Morandina belongs to the Espressione line of Verona winemaker Graziano Prà. The grapes come from vineyards in Mezzane and Tregnago at around 450 metres above sea level, planted in 2001.

Before fermentation the Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Oseleta grapes are lightly dried for 20 days, then fermented in stainless steel. The wine rests for three to six months in large 20-hectolitre oak casks.

The 2019 is a fresh, spicy Valpolicella, light on its feet and best served slightly cool.

Serve at 14-15 °C.
