Tasting notes

Ruby red with purple hints. Black cherry and pronounced spice on the nose. The palate combines good acidity with cherry, plum jam, black pepper and rhubarb, ending on a firm, savoury finish.

About this wine

Graziano Prà's Ripasso Morandina is made from his high vineyards in Mezzane and Tregnago above Verona, planted in 2001 at 450 metres with south-east exposure.

The Valpolicella is re-fermented on the dried skins left over from Amarone, gaining depth, body and complexity, then ages for 12 months in Allier oak tonneaux and two more months in a 20-hectolitre cask.

The 2019 vintage in magnum, a format in which the wine evolves slowly and gracefully, is a generous choice for festive tables and long dinners with friends.
