Tasting notes

Golden yellow. Ripe exotic fruit and yellow citrus on the nose, with a mineral edge. The palate is savoury and fresh, with mineral power and elegance, and a long finish of sweet almond and vanilla.

About this wine

Monte Grande is the great Soave of Graziano Prà, made from 60-year-old vines facing south at 150 metres on the volcanic soils of Monteforte d'Alpone.

The Garganega is left to wither on the vine for about a month after the canes are cut and is picked in mid-October, while the Trebbiano di Soave is harvested in mid-September. The wine then matures for ten months in large 30-hectolitre Allier oak casks.

Mineral power and elegance meet in a structured white that can age beautifully in bottle for many years.
