Tasting notes

Bright, deep ruby colour. A rich bouquet of cherry, raspberry and blackberry with floral hints of rose and peony. The palate is supple, with soft tannins and delicately integrated oak, and the long finish echoes the fruit of the nose.

About this wine

Albert Bichot is a family-run Burgundy house, handed down from father to son since 1831 and one of the leading buyers at the famous Hospices de Beaune auction.

Aloxe-Corton lies in the northern Côte de Beaune, at the foot of the Corton hill. This 100% Pinot Noir is made from hand-harvested grapes and aged for 14 to 16 months in oak barrels, 20 to 30% of them new, which gives the wine polish without masking its fruit.

The 2019 vintage delivers generous red fruit and floral elegance, a fine example of a classic village Burgundy from a top address.
