Tasting notes

Bright ruby with light violet reflections. The nose is intense, with wild berries and spice. The palate is warm, full and balanced, with pleasant juiciness, well-judged oak and a long, persistent finish that invites another glass.

About this wine

Tenuta Iuzzolini is an estate in Cirò Marina, in the province of Crotone on the Ionian coast of Calabria, with around 100 hectares of vineyards and an underground cellar built from restored local stone and 18th-century bricks.

Artino brings together the two most characteristic Calabrian red grapes, Gaglioppo and Magliocco, grown at Carfizzi in the Motta district at 200-300 metres above sea level on white clay soils. The wine then spends 10 months in French barriques, which round out its warm, generous fruit.
