Tasting notes

Ruby red with violet hints. The nose offers ripe cherry, plum and a touch of spice. The palate is supple and fruity, with soft tannins, good freshness and a pleasant, medium-length finish. Approachable and easy, it is at its best young, while the fruit is at its freshest.

About this wine

Firriato is the Di Gaetano family winery based in Paceco, near Trapani, farming around 490 hectares of certified organic vineyards across several estates from western to eastern Sicily.

The story began in the 1980s at the Baglio Soria estate near Trapani; today the vineyards stretch from the island of Favignana to the slopes of Etna. "Branciforti" Rosso is an approachable red from the Terre Siciliane category, made from Nero d'Avola, the island's signature red grape.

It is made for the everyday table: fruity, supple and easy to enjoy with simple food.
