Tasting notes

Deep ruby. Blackcurrant, black cherry, cedar, graphite and a touch of tobacco on the nose. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with ripe, firm tannins, fresh acidity and a long finish of dark fruit and spice.

About this wine

Château Latour is one of the five First Growths of the 1855 Bordeaux classification, set in the south of the Pauillac appellation close to the Gironde estuary, and owned since 1993 by François Pinault's Artémis group. Its vineyards are farmed organically.

Le Pauillac de Château Latour is the estate's third wine, made mainly from the vineyards outside the historic Enclos and from lots not selected for the Grand Vin or Les Forts de Latour. It is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.

It offers an accessible introduction to the style of Latour: dark fruit, firm structure and Pauillac freshness, ready to enjoy earlier than its elder siblings.
