Tasting notes

Lively ruby red. The nose is fruity and intense, with strawberry, raspberry jam and cherry and delicate ethereal notes. The palate is full, balanced and savoury, with juicy red fruit, gentle tannins and a persistent finish.

About this wine

Tenuta Iuzzolini is a large estate in Cirò, on the Ionian coast of Calabria, where the Iuzzolini family has been present since the early sixteenth century. The property covers around 500 hectares, including 100 hectares of vineyards, centuries-old olive groves, arable land, pasture and woodland. In 2005 Fortunato Iuzzolini and his family began processing their own grapes and built a modern winery.

This Cirò Rosso Classico is made from Gaglioppo, the area's historic red grape, grown on clay and sandy limestone soils in a hot, dry Mediterranean climate.

A lively, fruit-forward red that brings the warmth of southern Italy to the table.
