Tasting notes

Bright ruby colour. The nose opens with cherry and blueberry. The palate is fresh and lively, with crunchy red fruit, ripe tannins and a high acidity that keeps it vibrant. The finish is clean and fruity, inviting another glass.

About this wine

Domaine Marquis d'Angerville is one of the historic names of Volnay and among the first Burgundy estates to bottle and sell its own wine, back in the 1920s. The family is the sole owner of the Volnay Premier Cru Clos des Ducs and farms its vineyards following organic and biodynamic principles.

This Bourgogne Passetoutgrains from the 2020 vintage blends Gamay and Pinot Noir in equal parts. The grapes are destemmed and macerated on the skins for eight to ten days with regular pumping over, and the wine is then aged with around a quarter of new oak.

The result is a juicy, approachable red that brings the estate's precise style to the everyday table.
