Tasting notes

Deep ruby red. The nose is bright, fresh and fine, with small red fruits, raspberry and cherry, light spice and a floral touch. The palate combines elegance and freshness with juicy, fruity tannins, fine texture and a long, delicate finish of red fruit and spice.

About this wine

Domaine Jacques Prieur, founded in 1868, has assembled a rare mosaic of great Burgundy terroirs. Its Échezeaux comes from the Champs Traversin lieu-dit in the heart of the historic Échezeaux, where the vines are planted north to south at the mouth of the Combe d'Orveau. The microclimate is fresh, airy and healthy, and the soil is thin, brown and stony with fine sandy, siliceous material.

The 100% Pinot Noir grapes are hand-picked and fully destemmed, macerated in wooden vats and aged in oak barrels.

It is a Grand Cru of elegance and freshness from the Côte de Nuits.
