Tasting notes

Yellow with greenish reflections. An elegant, varietal bouquet of exotic spice, rose petals and lychee. The palate is powerful, full and aromatic, with a long, spicy finish. Serve chilled but not ice-cold, so the aromas and the texture can fully open in the glass.

About this wine

Cantina Valle Isarco (Eisacktaler Kellerei) is a winery based in Klausen, in the Eisack Valley of South Tyrol, one of the northernmost wine areas of Italy.

The Gewürztraminer of its classic line comes from sunny terraced vineyards at 400-750 metres, which the winery considers among the best sites in the valley. The soils are mineral and gravelly, of weathered diorite and quartz phyllite, and the wine is made with gentle pressing, temperature-controlled fermentation and ageing on the fine lees in steel.
