Tasting notes

Ruby red with violet reflections. The nose offers pronounced aromas of sour cherry and spice. The palate is juicy and fresh, with cherry, plum jam and rhubarb, supple tannins and a pleasantly savoury, lingering finish. Generous and easy to love.

About this wine

Graziano Prà is a grower from Monteforte d'Alpone in Veneto who makes wine in Soave and Valpolicella. His Ripasso Morandina comes from the vineyards in Mezzane and Tregnago, planted in 2001 at 450 metres on limestone soils.

The Valpolicella, from Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Oseleta, is refermented on the pomace left over from Amarone, which gives it more body and aroma. It then ages 12 months in French Allier oak tonneaux and two months in a large 20-hectolitre cask.

Juicy and generous, this 2017 in a three-litre Jeroboam is a showpiece for big tables.
