Intense ruby red. Fruity bouquet of red berries. Very well structured yet soft on the palate, with smooth, velvety tannins and a long finish.

About this wine

Il Poggione's Rosso di Montalcino is 100% Sangiovese from the estate's younger vineyards in Montalcino, planted between 150 and 450 metres above sea level.

It is fermented with indigenous yeasts using the submerged-cap method in steel tanks, then aged in large French oak casks and 350-litre barriques before bottle ageing. This listing is the 2018 vintage.
