Tasting notes

Red with garnet reflections. The nose is dominated by dark fruit, wild cherry and sour cherry, with a touch of vanilla. The palate is balanced, with fresh acidity, a pleasant savoury streak and a long, dry finish.

About this wine

Besides its Soave whites, Canoso makes red wine from the Val Squaranto valley near Marcellise, in the province of Verona. Terra is a Valpolicella Superiore grown on limestone-rich soils from Corvinone, Corvina and Rondinella.

The wine matures for at least 36 months in tonneaux and a further six months in bottle before release, building complexity and the potential to develop further in the cellar.

Balanced, savoury and long, it is a Valpolicella of character that sits between everyday reds and the great Amarone.
