Tasting notes

Bright ruby colour. Fragrant nose of red cherry, raspberry and floral hints with a light earthy touch. The palate is fruity and elegant, with silky tannins, fresh acidity and a delicate, lingering finish typical of Volnay.

About this wine

The Voillot family has been making wine in Volnay for six generations, tending around 8 hectares in the Côte de Beaune with nature-friendly methods recognised by HVE certification since 2017. Grapes are picked by hand and fermented with native yeasts.

This cuvée blends old vines from five lieux-dits in Volnay, planted between 1930 and 1973 on gravelly soils with limestone. It is a fruity, elegant Pinot Noir of delicate character, lovely to drink now and equally rewarding after a few more years in the cellar.
