Tasting notes

Bright golden hue. A fine, pleasant nose of pear and ripe apple with a note of bitter almond. The palate is full, with an elegant, harmonious structure and delicate acidity. Serve chilled but not ice-cold, so the aromas and the texture can fully open in the glass.

About this wine

Cantina Valle Isarco (Eisacktaler Kellerei) is a winery based in Klausen, in the Eisack Valley of South Tyrol, one of the northernmost wine areas of Italy.

Pinot Grigio, known locally as Ruländer, is one of the most refined varieties of the Burgundian family. For the classic line the grapes come from the middle and lower valley, from vineyards at 500-780 metres on mineral, gravelly soils of weathered diorite and quartz phyllite. The wine is aged on the fine lees in stainless steel.
