Tasting notes

Pale green. Aromas of gooseberry, blackcurrant leaf, elderflower, lilac and peach. The palate is dry, with a fine play of acidity and a fresh, aromatic finish. Its freshness and clean structure make it an easy companion at the table, and it is best enjoyed while the fruit is at its brightest.

About this wine

The Pfitscher family has been making wine in Montan, South Tyrol, since 1861 and was the first winery in Italy to earn the KlimaHaus Wine certification.

The Sauvignon Blanc "Saxum" blends grapes from Fiè allo Sciliar and Montagna, from vineyards at 500 to 900 metres on limestone soils shaped in the Ice Age. It ferments in stainless steel and matures in casks on its fine lees.

It is a vibrant, aromatic Sauvignon with the crisp acidity that only high mountain vineyards can give.
