Tasting notes

Ruby red. Intense aromas of red and dark forest berries with a light spicy touch. The palate is harmonious, with full body, silky tannins and a long finish. It opens up nicely with a little air and is best served in a generous glass, where its fruit and structure can fully unfold.

About this wine

Pfitscher is a family winery in Montan, South Tyrol, making wine since 1861 and the first in Italy to earn the KlimaHaus Wine sustainability certification.

The Pinot Nero "Fuxleiten" comes from vineyards in Montagna at 500 to 700 metres, an area known for excellent Pinot Noir. It ferments for ten to fourteen days in concrete vats with stirring of the cap, then ages for about a year in oak casks.

It is a harmonious, full-bodied Pinot Noir with bright fruit and Alpine freshness.
