Tasting notes

Bright ruby. Sour cherry, redcurrant and almond on the nose, with a floral, faintly herbal note. The palate is light and crisp, with juicy red fruit, fresh acidity and fine, slender tannins. The finish is clean, with the bitter-almond twist typical of the grape.

About this wine

Tommaso Bussola farms around a dozen hectares in Negrar, in the hilly Classico zone of Valpolicella, and is known for a style that is richer and more worked than most of the valley's everyday wines.

This Valpolicella Classico is made from fresh grapes rather than dried ones: Corvina and Corvinone with Rondinella and a little Molinara, fermented in stainless steel and aged briefly so the wine keeps its lift.

It is the lightest wine in the range and the one that shows the cherry character of Corvina most directly.
